Parker Named All American

 
 

Prairie View A&M women’s basketball player Alexus Parker has been named to the BoxToRow All-American Team.

This is Parker’s third honor as she received the I.T. Hunter Award as the Outstanding Female Athlete as the PVAM All-Sports Banquet in late April. Parker was also named to the All- SWAC Second Team after leading the Lady Panthers in scoring averaging 15.7 ppg., was 10th in free throw percentage (.669), fifth in 3-point field goal percentage (.318), tied for seventh in 3-point field goals made (1.6), and seventh in defensive rebounds (4.4). A graduate of Savannah’s Calvary Day School, Parker had scored in double figures in 16 of the 18 conference games played during the 2016-17 season.

The 5-10, senior was named SWAC Player of the Week after scoring her 1000th point in the game against Texas State on December 16th. She scored 19 points against Stephen F. Austin in that same week.
