‘Over the Edge,’ Savannah’s tallest and most exciting fundraiser will take place on Thursday, October 29, 2015 and Friday, October 30, 2015 at the Manger Building, 7 E. Congress Street in historic downtown Savannah, GA.
Hosted by the Coastal Georgia Council Boy Scouts of America, ‘Over the Edge’ raises funds to support Scoutreach inner city Scouting programs for local at-risk youth. Members of the local media will be rappelling down the side of the Manger Building on Media Day, which is Thursday, October 29th from noon until 4:00pm. The Liquid Courage Party will take place on Thursday evening from 4:00-8:30pm in Johnson Square. On Friday, October 30, 2015 from 9:00am – 5:00pm, over 60 registered ‘Edgers’ will have the chance to check an item off their “bucket list” as they rappel off the side of a building in historic downtown Savannah. Other local non-profit agencies, such as Park Place Outreach, Student Veterans of America and Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 671 are rappelling to raise funds for their own programs along with the Boy Scouts.
