Ordination Service for Minister Phelicia Barnes

Pastor Michael L. Lewis of Second Saint John Baptist Church at 1323 Golden Street in West Savannah, along with officers and members, invite the friends and community to share with them in celebrating the ordination service of Minister Phelicia Barnes on Sunday, September 28, 2008 at 3:00 PM. The Rev. Lexie Aiken the pastor of Saint Luke Baptist Church will give the ordination sermon.

Minister Phelicia Barnes is the daughter of Frank W. Bell and Ella Mae Bell of Savannah Ga., and the maternal granddaughter of Ernest and Deaconess Rosa Brisbane, and the paternal granddaughter of Deaconess Dora Sell Nowell and the late Garfield Bell. She is married to Deacon Clarence Robert Barnes, III and they have three sons, Vincent, a junior and a presidential scholar student at Albany State University, Kristopher, and Avery, a sophomore at Windsor Forest High School. She is also the loving and well regarded sister to three siblings/ Michael Bell, Andrew Bell and one sister, Bryce Bell-Byrd. She is also blessed with a loving Brother and Sister-In-law, Mr. Antonio Byrd and Mrs. Vonetta Dixon-Bell.

Minister Barnes was educated in the public schools of Chatham. County. She graduated from Jenkins high school in 1984. She is a magna cum laude graduate with a degree in Psychology from Chaminade University, Honolulu, Hi. She received her Masters in Professional Counseling from Argosy University; Atlanta, Ga. She is employed by the state of Georgia as an OFI supervisor.
