Omega Psi Phi Fraternity holds 3rd Annual Teachers Appreciation Picnic

On June 18, The Brothers of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Incorporated, Mu Phi chapter and the Chatham Association of Educators hosted their third annual Savannah-Chatham County Public School Employee Appreciation picnic.

Tom Triplett Park and Pavilion located in Pooler was the location for this year’s event.

Over 300 employees enjoyed free seafood, music and fellowship with the Brothers of Mu Phi chapter.

The Brothers of Omega Psi Phi would like to express their sincere appreciation to all employees in the local school system for all the great work they do for our students.

Mu Phi, the local chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Incorporated was established on April 7, 1926, and has been serving the community through various mandated programs that include, mentoring at risk youth, habitat for humanity, and American Diabetes Awareness, just to name a few.

Along with the community service the chapter provides, Mu Phi also awards annual scholarships to deserving high school seniors in the Coastal Empire and contributes to several local nonprofit organizations.
