I never thought in all the years of my adult life I would be a witness to a piece of history. I never thought in my entire lifetime I would be present to see an African American nominated as the Democratic nominee for President of the United States. This experience has been a proud moment in my life because now I know, all things are possible. It gives our young black boys and girls hope and dreams. On September 19, 2008, I was blessed to take part in the Obama Rally in Jacksonville, Florida. The rally was filled with 28,000 Obama fans inside the Metropolitan Park and 3,000 outside the park of all ethnic groups,. all ages, and genders. The phrase of the hour chanted for miles was, Yes We Can!
