NCNW High Hat Harambee Breakfast

On April 6, the National Council of Negro Women, Savannah Chapter hosted its annual fundraiser, The “High Hat Harambee Breakfast,” at the Marriott Riverfront Hotel.

It was a brilliant activity. Dr. Lafils McGill-Rivers was presented as the 2014 NCNW “Woman of Year Honor” nominee. Maxine Bryant, the featured speaker, delivered a dynamic testimony, which motivated the group to “change the world.”

The Parade of Hats scored the morning with beautiful women adorned in magnificent hats. President Vanessa Collins-Smith was delighted to honor the participants and winners of this year’s parade.

NCNW meets every 4th Thursday, 6:00 pm at the May Street YMCA. All women are invited to join for the purposes of supporting and leading women in the areas of health, education, and empowerment projects.
