National Smart Set Hosts 2014 Conclave in Savannah

On October 2-5, 2014, Smart Set of Savannah will host the National Smart Set (NSS) Conclave at the Westin Resort on Hutchinson Island with nearly 400 guests. Smart Set is a national organization comprised of African American women. Each year in October, the 25 chapters convene for a national meeting of business and fun. Among other important projects, the business includes sanctioning the contributions from each chapter to support a national project. Last year, NSS contributed to the Hampton University Skin of Color Research. This year the national project is a contribution to the Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture. John Franklin of the Smithsonian Institute will accept the award on Saturday, October 4 at the Conclave Dinner. This year, NSS Conclave’s fun includes enjoying Savannah’s charm, cuisine, and music, and socializing with friends. This year’s Conclave theme is “Something to Talk About.”
