NAACP, Interdenominational Ministerial Alliance Present “Voter Registration Sunday”

The Savannah Branch NAACP and the Interdenominational Ministerial Alliance have formed a partnership in order to maximize our voting strength in the next election. The November 2011 election season holds great significance for African Americans in Savannah. Your support is essential to achieve justice, equality and civil rights for all citizens.

In order to reach our goal, the NAACP and IMA announce “Voter Registration Sunday” in ALL Churches. During the month of September, churches are asked to conduct Voter Registration Drives after Church Service. Each church is requested to name a Voter Registration Coordinator.

The Church Coordinator should: (1) Conduct Voter Registration; (2) Provide sick and shut-in member with absentee ballots; (3) Return all completed Voter Registration forms to the local NAACP office. Please inform the Savannah Branch NAACP, with the name and contact information of your coordinator (912) 233-4161.

We welcome the opportunity to work with you and your congregation to implement “Voter Registration Sunday” at your church.
