Savannah native Darrell Myers, Jr. has signed a professional contract with the Spokane Shock of the Indoor Football League.
The wide receiver, who measures out at 6-foot- 7 and 195-pounds, played four years at Valdosta State University.
While at VSU, Myers won the Gulf South Conference Championship in 2018 and 2019. He was also apart of the 2018 team that won the Division II national championship. During that 2018 season he played in 14 games, had four touchdowns as well as a kick return for 24 yards.
During his time at VSU Myers helped move them up to 11th place in longest winning streak in the history of NCAA Division II football.
During his senior year at Sol C. Johnson High School, Myers averaged 17 yards per catch. He hauled in 24 receptions for 409 yards and five touchdowns.
