The nonprofit organization My Brothaz HOME, Inc. founded by the current Executive Director Mark Douglas and several friends in 2000 will soon reopen. The community-based social service organization closed in April as a result of declining revenue. Since April, the organization has gained the support of a major supporter- AIDS Healthcare Foundation and the state health department. Over the last three months, the organization had an opportunity to hear from the community and reassess current needs including restructuring all programs and services. The new My Brothaz HOME will include a new mission, strategic focus, board members and community partners.
Primary services will include targeted HIV/STD testing, prevention for positive and high risk negative individuals and linkage to care and treatment services. Currently, the organization is seeking a new office space to provide services, volunteers and dedicated and engaged board members. Individuals interested in supporting the cause with their time, resources or other means, can email their resume to Mark Douglas at firstname.lastname@example.org.
