Mojica Attends National Young Leaders State Conference


Destiny Craig Mojica, 9th grader at Savannah Early College was recently accepted to attend the National Young Leaders State Conference (NYLSC) in Atlanta, GA. The Conference was held from December 1 to December 4th, 2011.

This conference involved young leaders from across the state, to discover how to develop her own leadership skills. This will also help students get at the heart of their innate talents also.

2011 conference, outstanding students from across the nation took part in a unique leadership development program that was held in 30 cities across the country. Themed Courageous Leadership, the National Young Leaders State Conference (NYLSC) helps young scholars take an introspective and highly-personalized assessment of their leadership skills and abilities.

Throughout the fourday program, students built a working “toolkit” of strategies to help them successfully dream, create and implement plans that would change how they view their role as leaders in their communities.

As a participant Destiny now qualifies for the Global Young leaders State Conference. We look forward in hearing more good things in the near future about Destiny and her achievements.

Destiny is currently involved in the Spanish Club, Student Council and Stock Market Club in school. She is also an active Order of Eastern Star Youth Chapter PHA member of Electa Chapter #1, currently holding the seat as President under the leadership of Director, Tiffany Maxwell.
