MLK Jr. Interfaith Worship Service at Butler Presbyterian Church


The Martin Luther King, Jr. Interfaith Worship Service was held on Sunday at Butler Presbyterian Church. The Worship Leader was Rev. Brian Wilborn, Associate Minister, First African Baptist Church. Presiding Elder James E. Taylor lead the Processional Memorial March of the Clergy. Skyye Williams, a 6th grader at Charles Ellis Montessori School performed the National Anthem. Chairman of the Martin Luther King, Jr. Observance Association Carolyn Blackshear presented the special greetings and Rev Dilly delivered the welcome.

Dr. Carol Brown and Martin Luther King, Jr. Theme Winners, Sierra Vincent, Sierra DeJesus and Kristen Adams performed the Lighting of the Memorial Candles. There were several speakers who delivered “The Words of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr”, including Gabrielle Moore, a 10th grader from Savannah Arts Academy who served as Narrator. Elder Raphael O,. Watson of New Greater Owens Temple Ministries presented “I See The Promise Land”.
