Miller Earns Field Grade Promotion of Lieutenant Colonel

Major David D. Miller has been promoted to the Field Grade command rank of Lieutenant Colonel. Lieutenant Colonel Miller serves as the Mission Support Group Commander of the Combat Readiness Training Center (CRTC), Savannah’s unique military air training facility, and an element of the Georgia Air National Guard, headquartered at Savannah International Airport.

Lt. Col. Miller, a native of Parma, Idaho, was initially commissioned in the Air National Guard in 1994, serving in the Idaho Air National Guard’s 190th Fighter Squadron of the 124 Fighter Wing, Gowen Field, Idaho as a F-4G Weapon Systems Officer.

He was assigned to the Idaho Air National Guard’s 189th Airlift Squadron as a Navigator in 1996. Accepting ever increasing levels of responsibility and command, he joined the Georgia Air National Guard in 1997, serving as the Range Control Officer of Townsend Air to Ground gunnery range, Townsend, GA, an augment of the Combat Readiness Training Center.

Lt. Col. Miller is a graduate of Boise State University, Boise, ID and the Academy of Military Science, McGhee-Tyson ANGB, Tennessee. He and his wife, Lisa, and their two children currently reside in Richmond Hill, GA.
