Mi’ Quan Green Named Superintendent’s Student Of The Month

The Savannah Chatham County Public School System recognized Mi’ Quan Green at this month’s board meeting as the Superintendent’s Student of the month of January. Our featured Student of the Month is an eighth grader from Myers Middle School. This young man is described as “hardworking and talented”, and is already working to get a jump start as a future business leader.

In 2014, he traveled to San Antonio, TX to attend the National FCCLA STAR (Students Taking Action with Recognition) event where he won a gold medal in FCCLA competition. Currently he serves as president of the FCCLA and Student Council at his schools and he recently won first-place in the Middle School Public Speaking Competition at the 2015 Student Success Expo. He is also working on a “Promote and Publicize FCCLA” project where he will compete in Hinesville at the regional level.

This young man aspires to be a successful photographer and has recently connected with Upscale Images, one of our SCCPSS business partners, as an apprentice. This gifted young man is motivated by his mom, grandmother, and teachers stating “they do not accept mediocre!”

We are proud to announce the Superintendent’s Student of the Month representing the month of January 2015 is Mi’ Quan Green from Myers Middle School! Congratulations to our student, his family, and the faculty and staff of Myers Middle School.
