March lecture Schedule for SSU ‘Savannah Policy and Planning Debates’


March lecture schedule for Savannah State University (SSU) “Savannah Policy and Planning Debates,” presented by the Department of Political Science and Public Affairs.

The lectures will be held weekly through March 26 starting at 6 p.m., Tuesday, March 5, at the Coastal Georgia Center.

“Savannah Policy and Planning Debates” is a public service program featuring local policy and development professionals as guest lecturers. The program will run weekly through April and is intended to give the community an opportunity to explore and discuss urban problems and solutions across a variety of political and policy perspectives. All classes are free and open to the public:

March 19: Community Development by Network? Government, Non-Profit and Private Sectors with Tom Thomson, executive director, Metropolitan Planning Commission

March 26: Economic Development: Inner-City Corridors with Anne Roise, project director for the SSU Housing and Urban Development/ Historically Black Colleges and Universities grant program at the Moses Jackson Center
