Maj. Gen. Jeffrey E. Phillips Speaks at Armstrong on Leadership


Armstrong Atlantic State University is proud to announce a special lecture from Army Reserve Maj. Gen. Jeffrey E. Phillips, assistant deputy chief of staff, G-1, on the Army staff; and former deputy commanding general of the 3rd Infantry Division at Ft. Stewart in Hinesville, Ga. On Monday, Nov. 12 at 6:00p.m., Phillips will deliver his talk, “The Imperative of Leadership,” at the Armstrong Center, 13040 Abercorn St., in Savannah. The lecture is free and open to the public.

Phillips served as deputy commanding general of the 3rd Infantry Division (“Rock of the Marne”) at Ft. Stewart in Hinesville until March 2011, when he moved to Washington, D.C. to serve in his current position in the Army’s staff section responsible for human resources. Phillips was commissioned in the army as a second lieutenant of armor in 1979.
