With their nominations to the McDonald’s All American® High School Boys Basketball Team, Rashawn Mitchell and Joshua Shelton of Urban Christian Academy, Brandon Mobley of Groves High School, and Jareal Smith of Johnson High School were recently recognized some of the top prep standouts in the nation, becoming four of the 46 male players nominated for the honor in Georgia. The athletes were nominated by the McDonald’s All American Basketball Team Boys Selection Committee, a group of 32 prominent basketball experts, including nationally-renowned coaches and top high school sports journalists.
Nominees are competing nationwide to fill one of 24 positions on the Boys Team, and play for the honor of raising Game proceeds for Ronald McDonald House Charities® (RMHC®) of Central Ohio.
The Boys Game takes place March 31, 2010 at Value City Arena in Columbus, Ohio. The 33rd annual Boys Game will tip off at 8:00 p.m. ET, Wednesday, March 31, at Value City Arena in Columbus, Ohio, and will air live on ESPN. The Girls Game will precede the Boys Game at 5:30 p.m. ET and will broadcast live on ESPNU.
