Live Oak Public Libraries and Path2College toKick-Off Summer Reading Program Sweepstakes


Georgia’s Path- 2College 529 Plan and Live Oak Public Libraries will officially kick-off Every Hero Has a Story Sweepstakes, a statewide initiative is designed to encourage kids to read throughout the summer and remind their parents and grandparents about the importance of saving for college.

Four regional winners will each receive $1,529, and one grand prize winner will receive $5,529 for college. Additionally, the library of the individual grand prize winner will receive

$1,529, and the four libraries of the regional winners will each receive $529.

The kick-off will be held in conjunction with the Ship of Heroes program with Sean Driscoll, which will include an array of magic, music, animation and puppetry through live interactive comedy theater and innovative children’s storytelling.

The kickoff will be held on Friday, June 5, 2015 4 p.m. at Islands Library, 50 Johnny Mercer Blvd., Savannah, GA 31410

The event is free and open to the public, and families are encouraged to attend.
