On Monday, December 6, 2010, seven Law & Government Explorers from Savannah- Chatham public high schools attended an Exploring event at the Chatham County Courthouse.

In addition to touring the various departments of the courthouse, the students were able to participate in a discussion with Judge James Bass, Jr.

Savannah Arts Academy student, Joshua Soave commented, “I got to see the inside of the courthouse, including a courtroom and jury room, which was very interesting! Judge Bass talked to us and gave us very helpful information. I got helpful information on possible undergraduate majors to choose before going to law school.”

Special thanks are extended to Nan Garner at the Chatham County Courthouse for organizing the tour, Judge Bass for his participation, and attorney Drew Wilkes for sponsoring the Explorer Post.

Exploring, a subsidiary of Boy Scouts of America, strives to be the foremost co-educational youth program for character and career development.
