The Savannah Chapter of Top ladies of Distinction, Incorporated has selected Lady Rosa Dillard Jackson as the 2012 Top Lady of the Year. Lady Jackson is a retired Spanish teacher of the Savannah Chatham County Board of Education. Lady Rosa was born in Eastman, Georgia and reared in Savannah, Georgia.
Lady Rosa joined the Savannah Chapter of Top Ladies in 2001. She has served in the following positions: Recording Secretary for four years and as Corresponding Secretary. She has also served on the following trusts and committees: Senior Citizens, Beautification, Community Partnership, and Status of Women, United Negro College Fund Chairperson, and Fundraising.
Lord Johnny E. Brown was selected the 2012 Lord of the Year by the Savannah Chapter of Top Ladies for his continued service to the chapter.
Lord Johnny has worked with the Top Teens with decorating for the M.L. King parade and Valentine’s Day at Hospice House. He also helps with the recycling newspaper project at the YMCA, the Black Heritage Festival, and other projects wherever he is needed.
