Kobe Bryant calls it quit by announcing his retirement in November after the 2015-2016 season. Bryant helped the Lakers win five NBA championships after spending two decades in the league.
Bryant stated “ this season is all I have left to give” My heart can’t take the pounding. My mind can handle the grind but my body knows it’s time to say goodbye. “And that’s OK. I’m ready to you go”.
As his season comes close to an end what most fans call it “his farewell tour” Bryant is enjoying every bit of it despite the loosing record, Each floor arena that Kobe has touched has been a sell out, who wouldn’t want to see Kobe in final games in the NBA.
Toronto hosted All-Star Game Sunday Night and Bryant has been on a tare giving the league sparks of his vintage self despite the injuries that he’s been facing over the years. Kobe is has been selected to the Western Conference All Star Team 18 second only to Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.. He is a four time All Star Game MVP, The Leagues MVP in 2008 and a five time Champion and the list keeps going.
The Western Conference All Stars 196-173 win over the Eastern Conference All Stars was a thriller, with Kobe dropping 10 points 6 rebounds and 7 assist.
Players Like LeBron James, Paul George, Chris Paul, Kevin Durant, and Andre Drummond all gave Kobe his fare well as the game came to an end. “Kobe, you did all you could do for the game and being a champion forever, a walking legend, we appreciate you, said Kevin Durant from the Oklahoma City Thunder.
In all Kobe’s final All Star Game was something to remember with Russell Westbrooke winning the MVP in consecutive years and Paul George putting on a show after he poured in 41 points, falling one point shy of tying Wilt Chamberlain’s record set in 1962.
