Kayton-Frazier Boys and Girls Club Elect Officers for the 2012-2013 Year


 
 

The Kayton-Frazier Boys & Girls Club Torch Club has elected its officers for the 2012-2013 year. The group is comprised of 13 boys and girls. The newly elected officers are Ahmod Williams, president; Rickeia Dudley, vice-president; Taliyah Jones, secretary, Dajanny Wright, treasurer and Denzel Brownlee, parliamentarian and Regan Smalls, social chairperson. By vote of the membership, the group has begun work with two projects. One is an environmental project and the other is an entrepreneurial project. As a part of the Boys & Girls Clubs of America, character and leadership curriculum, Torch Clubs are chartered, small-group leadership and service clubs for boys and girls ages 11 to 13. A Torch Club is a powerful vehicle through which Club staff can help meet the special character development needs of younger adolescents at a critical stage in their life. Torch Club members learn to elect officers and work together to implement activities in four areas: service to Club and community; education; health and fitness; and social recreation.
