Junior League Accepting Applications for Community Projects



The Junior League of Savannah is now accepting applications for 2009-2010 Community Projects. Funding and volunteers will be provided for projects within the designated focus area of women and children’s advocacy.

Eligibility requirements for Junior League of Savannah Community Projects include: being a 501c(3) non-profit organization; having a commitment to voluntarism; having a board of directors; and, having an audited financial statement or budget. All funds requested must be used within the geographic boundaries of the Junior League of Savannah (Savannah, Brunswick/Golden Isles and South Carolina Lowcountry); and exclude fund-raising activities, capital campaigns, individual requests, travel expenses, political activities, religious purposes, salaries and stipends.

Applications are available online at www.jrleaguesavannah. org under “Community Impact & Applications” or by calling the Junior League of Savannah headquarters at 912-790-1002. The deadline to submit application is November 15, 2008.

The Junior League of Savannah is an organization of over 1,000 women committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women and improving communities.
