Mu Phi Graduate Chapter and Alpha Gamma Undergraduate Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. announce its speaker for the 2008 Achievement Week Program, Atty. Lloyd J. Jordan, 36th Grand Basileus of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc.

The Achievement Week Program will be held on Sunday, November 16, 2008 at 3:00 p.m. in the ballroom of Ralph Mark Gilbert Museum- Downtown Savannah.

Bro. Lloyd J. Jordan practices law in the 4th largest law firm in America, Holland & Knight, LLP. He practices in the area of public law focusing on federal, state and local governments. Mr. Jordan has more than 25 years of experience with an exception background in areas of law that affect government and management.

Lloyd Jordan is also the President of Capital City Ventures Capital, LLC. Capital City Venture Capital is a venture a capital company investing in small to medium size businesses to provide them growth capital.

Jordan has served as the Director of regulatory Affairs for the District of Columbia Government in Washington, D. C. He was responsible for the generally for all business, professional and property regulations. He served on Mayor’s Technology Task Force, Economic Development Task Force and chaired Regulatory Reform Task Force. He is presently a member of the D.C. Sports Commission.

Jordan has served as the city attorney and prosecuting attorney for several municipalities. He was appointed judge in the municipal court division of the St. Louis County Courts, where he presided for several years. He served as managing attorney for the 6th largest insurance company in America.

Lloyd Jordan has numerous community service involvements. He is a past president of Mound City Bar Association. He served as Vice President of the NAACP, St. Louis and President of the Washington University Black Alumni Council. Additionally he serves on several other boards and is a member of several other community-based organizations.

Omega Psi Phi Fraternity has a long history of support for various community programs and initiatives in Savannah.
