Johnson High Achieves Certification

With the rapid advances in technology, it is vitally important that students become technologically literate in order to remain competitive in the increasingly global workforce.

It is the responsibility of the Engineering and Technology Education Programs of SCCPSS to ensure that our youth are prepared and equipped with the tools to succeed. For this reason, the state of Georgia has established a system to certify programs and recognize those that maintain the highest standards.

The Johnson High School Engineering Program was evaluated on June 4, 2012 and has achieved Industry Certification. The evaluation concluded that Ms. Keisha Davis, robotics and engineering instructor at Johnson High School and the Engineering and Technology Educators program, met all 72 standards.

Ms. Keisha Davis stepped in as the Engineering instructor at Johnson High School in 2007 and the program was industry certified the year before.

Her hard work and dedication has allowed the program to maintain its certification status. She is committed to maintaining the high standards that are associated with this achievement.
