Claire Frazier is a stunning jazz vocalist who has toured the US, Europe and Africa (Cameroon, Egypt and Kenya), performing with Lionel Hampton in Nice, France and opening for Ella Fitzgerald in London, England, and has collaborated with Quincy Jones, Ben Reilly, Art Hillary, Plas Johnson, with Juggernauts 18 Piece Orchestra, Motown, Los Vegas, Mandaley Bay Hotel, and at the EI Camino College, Los Angeles CA. And to top it off: she performs in English, French and Spanish (and a tad of Yiddish).

Her recent work in the Savannah area includes performing notable concerts for such establishments as The Ships of the Sea Museum and The Jepson Museum, as well as performing for The Jazz in the Squares Outdoor Concert Series for several years running.

She has also performed for the Jewish Education Alliance and was a consistently featured performer for The Mansion Hotel on Forsyth for several years. She now performs regularly at Vic’s On The River Restaurant, and is featured there every other weekend.

Frazier provides a rich vocal performance in the styles of Sarah Vaughn, Ella Fitzgerald and Nina Simone. Her voice is the epitome of classical jazz. The depth of her talent reaches way beyond any category to embrace blues, pop and cabaret as well.

Claire Frazier understands and feels music on a deep, emotional level. Her vocal dynamics take her effortlessly between subtle emotion and the roar of the blues all within one or two measures.

Jazz – Just Across The River featuring vocalist Claire Frazier with Eric Jones on piano and Delbert Felix on bass will take place Sunday, July 17, 2011, 5 pm at the Westin Harbor Resort on Hutchinson Island.

The concert is free for Coastal Jazz Association members and $10 for nonmembers. Attendees who join CJA while at the concert will also be admitted for free.
