Jack and Jill of America, Inc., Savannah Chapter will be celebrating 50 years of service to the Savannah Community. Mrs. Shirley Barber James, who served as the organization’s 15th National President will be the keynote speaker.
The Chapter is encouraging all Charter and Associate Members as well as their families and friends to attend the event.
“This event will serve as a tribute to our beginning and a look at our future.” said Karen Bogans, current Chapter President. “We look forward to having members present and past and their families and friends come to reunite and celebrate the wonderful work that has been done in the community over a 50 year span.”
The event will take place on Saturday, March 19, 2011 at 4:00 p.m. at the Hoskins Center at Memorial Medical Center in Savannah.
Jack and Jill of America, Incorporated is an African-American organization of mothers who nurture future leaders by strengthening children ages 2-19 through chapter programming, community service, legislative advocacy and philanthropic giving.
