International Paper’s Savannah Mill will host an IP Foundation workshop on March 5, 2011, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., in the conference room of the Mary Calder Golf Course. All non-profits interested in applying to the Foundation are encouraged to attend.
Each year, the Foundation awards thousands of dollars to various organizations in the following focus areas: environmental education—outdoor classrooms, encourage awareness of environment with hands-on approach; literacy— books, reading programs, tools to increase reading; employee involvement— support of organizations where our employees volunteer; and critical community need—one time gifts that are critical to a community or organization (less than 1% of all grants fall into this category).
