What is your personal vision? Is there a Godinspired dream burning in your hear?
Don’t give up. Let God have His way with you. Keep your eyes on the King, receive His vision for the city, give Him your life and your gifts, and begin to take steps of obedience.
None of us understand the end from the beginning. All we know is that He is “the author and finisher of our faith” (Heb. 12:2). God’s ways are too marvelous for us. I understand more than I am able to put in a lot of books, but what I do understand is tiny.
I live on the edge of wonders beyond my capacity to comprehend.
The more my curiosity is satisfied, the more the wonder of knowing the more the wonder of knowing God increases.
God is the most interesting person in the universeand the most beautiful. Jesus came to reveal the Father, to atone for us and to teach us how to live.
He also came to destroy the works of the devil and He has COMMISSIONED US to do likewise.
In Eccl. 9:14- 15- “There was a little city with few men in it, and a great king came against it, besieged it, and built great snares around it. Now there was found in it a poor wise man and he by his wisdom, delivered the city.”
That wise man could be you. Be determined in your mind to follow Jesus. He has graced me with a stubborn faith that contends for the promise and does not let go. Ezekiel was given this Holy stubbornness when God commissioned him to the ministry of a prophet-read (Ezek. 3:8-9).
We need the humility to change direction in an instant if we are shown to be in error, and the tenacity to continue against all odds for as long as it takes to complete the task that God has assigned to us.
This “Holy Stubbornness” is particularly important when praying for break throughs in a city.
Seasons of harvest have come; new outreaches have been birthed and we are thankful- IT IS TIME!
However, we must come together and join forces with our End Time Lord of the Unswitchables, during our once a year Outreach Now!
God plants within the heart of every believer a Godly dream, but, like Joseph, we find ourselves walking away from the mountain of promise into the valley of apprenticeship.
Love continues no matter what the cost. “Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends (John 15:13).
Love identifies with suffering and endures until it is ended. Paul said, “Now if we are afflicted, it is for our consolation and salvation (2 Cor. 1:6)…always carrying about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our body. For we who live are always delivered to death for Jesus’ sake, that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our mortal flesh.
So then, death is working in us, but life in you” (2 Cor.. 4:10-12) like Paul, I can truly say that I have, and am experiencing these very works.
You must endure the circumstances until the character of Christ is formed in you, and you gain that needed place of Spiritual authority.
Resurrection power comes only after the cross has done its work.
Self-interest, self-promotions, self-preservation, and self-consciousness have to die for us to experience intimate friendship with a Holy God, and to obtain overcoming authority in destroying the works of Satan.
