Thomas Stokes, III, President along with Timothy Mackey, Secretary of the International Longshoremen’s Association Local 1414 recently accepted the Leukemia/Lymphoma Society Banner Sponsorship Award presented by Tanya Milton, a member of the LLS Executive Committee. The award was presented to ILA Local 1414 for their participation in the 2013 Light the Night Campaign for Leukemia/Lymphoma Society. This year ILA Local 1414 has increased their 2014 contribution to $2500 as Refreshment Sponsors for the Light the Night Walk to be held on Friday, October 17, 2014.

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) is the world’s largest voluntary health agency dedicated to blood cancer. The LLS mission: Cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families. LLS funds lifesaving blood cancer research around the world and provides free information and support services.
