Hunter to Sing National Anthem at Savannah Sand Gnats Game

Antonio Hunter will sing the National Anthem at the Savannah Sand Gnats baseball game on Monday, August 3rd at Grayson Stadium. The Savannah Sand Gnats will be playing against Bowling Green, snd the game time is 7: 00 P.M.

Antonio started to sing before an audience in high school with Beach High School’s advance mixed chorus at Christmas at the Oglethorpe Mall, and also sang at his high school graduation in 1981.

Hunter was baptized at Saint Mark Baptist Church under the late Reverend Isaiah Reynolds and sang in the St. Mark B. C. Johnson Celestial Choir and St. Mark Mass Choir from 1983-1996.

In 1997 Antonio continued his Christian experience at Saint John B. C. (The Mighty Fortress) with right hand fellowship under Pastor Emeritus Rev. Matthew Southhall Brown Sr. and sing in the St. John Baptist Church Sanctuary Choir.

In 1987 Antonio joined in with E. Larry McDuffie and the Savannah Community Choir, in 1989 Antonio sing baritone in Savannah Vocational Technical school ensemble at his graduation.

From 1992-1996 Antonio sang with the Savannah State College Concert Choir, and went on tour with the choir traveling to Washington D.C., Virginia, North Carolina, and Florida. Antonio now sings with Saint John B.C. Dr. George P. Lee III Voices of the Mighty Fortress, The Men Choir, and the S.J.B.C. Mass Choir under the direction of minister of music Emmit Ramsey.
