Holiday Art Show, Gala and Silent Auction to Benefit the Blind and Visually Impaired


Savannah Association for the Blind, Inc. will present its first holiday art show, Gala and Silent Auction December 3-17, 2011. The show will feature artwork from local artists and artists from all over the world, including 32 pieces of artwork by children from all over the world. Each art piece will have both print and braille descriptions.

The Art Show and Opening Gala will kick-off this unique holiday affair at the elegant and festive Brockington Hall, located at 213 East Hall Street in beautiful Historic Downtown Savannah on Saturday, December 3, 2011 – 6:30P.M.– 9:30P.M. A silent auction will take place throughout the evening, ending with a live auction. Beverages and light hors d’oeuvres will be served. The art will travel to two different galleries (The Butcher Art Gallery and The Soda Shop) to be displayed and sold to the community. The schedule is as follows: Saturday, December 3, 2011 –6:30P.M. – 9:30P.M.: Opening Gala and Silent Auction: Brockington Hall (213 East Hall Street). Beverages and light hors d’oeuvres will be served.December 5 – 16, 2011 – Art Show: The Butcher Art Gallery (19 East Bay Street) December 9, 2011 at 7:00P.M.: The Butcher Art Gallery Reception: The Butcher Art Gallery (19 East Bay Street) December 5, 2011 – January 2, 2012: Art Show – The Soda Shop (409 East Liberty Street) Saturday, December 17, 2011 – 6:30P.M. – 9:30P.M.: Closing Celebration Gala – Brockington Hall (213 East Hall Street)
