The membership of the historic Second African Baptist is rejoicing and praising God for the great things he has done and is doing in the life of this place of worship. The 2018 Family and Friends Day celebration, a two-day event will be held September 15 -16, 2018. The Theme is: “The Tie That Binds Through Love and Unity.”
An Old Fashion Picnic will be, held on Saturday, September 15, 2018 at the Ruthy Mae McCoy Park, Pavilion #1 (formally Runaway Park) located at 240 Riverview Road, from 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. Activities will include: A Grill Off, by the men of the church, Games, Music, the Bounce House and lots of favorite Picnic foods and drinks.
The celebration will culminate on Sunday, September 16, 2018 with the Morning Worship Service at 11:00 a.m. The Messenger will be the esteemed Pastor of Second African Baptist Church, Rev. Xavier L. Creekmur. A Family and Friends Day Dinner will follow the Worship Service.
