Heart disease is the most deadly disease of all today. Each year, more than 1.2 million people in the United States have heart attacks, and too many of them die. Coronary Heart Disease often results in heart attacks, and is the leading killer of both men and women in the United States.
A heart attack occurs when the flow of oxygenated blood to the heart suddenly becomes blocked. If blood flow isn’t restored quickly, that section of the heart muscle begins to die. When waxy, sticky plaque builds up in the arteries, oxygen carrying blood starts to move more slowly thru the vessel. This can cause chest pain, angina. But worse, is when that sticky waxy build up forms a clot, and breaks loose, it can move into a position where is stops the flow of blood all together. This is a major coronary event. Bad news. Also, this same plaque, clot event can occur in the brain, and is called a stroke. Heart attacks are also caused by congestive heart failure, stress, and arrhythmias, or errors in the cardiac rhythm.
Heart attack symptoms include: chest pain or discomfort such as uncomfortable pressure, squeezing, fullness, or pain in the center or left side of the chest. This pain can be lasting or intermittent. Pain or discomfort in one or both arms, the back, neck, jaw, or upper part of the stomach.
Shortness of breath, with or without chest discomfort. Feeling of nausea, with or without vomiting, sudden dizziness, or cold sweats,unusual fatigue, and or lack of energy.

Get 8 hours of sleep at night, then relax, meditate and get some playtime in each day. Exercise at least 30 minutes each day – Schedule it, and do it!Spend 15 minutes each day in the sun without sunscreen.
If you smoke, quit. If you don’t smoke, don’t start, and stay clear of smokers. Eat fish at least 3 times a week and take cod liver oil daily. Take a good Whole Food supplement everyday. Not just vitamins, that’s only part of the story. That’s it. Just a few steps toward better health.
