Keeping the Colon Clean


Nutrition is the key to a healthy life. It is time to get the right information about what health is, and what constitutes a healthy choice. Today, more than ever before people are suffering from preventable health problems and the majority of these problems are actually related to the colon. Often pain, constipation, and a lack of energy are related to bowel problems. Problems easily eliminated.

By creating a healthy lifestyle, the colon will remain properly cleansed and will also rid the body of dangerous toxins. How is this done? By eating a healthy, well-balanced diet containing lots of fiber, pure, clean water and getting plenty of exercise – regularly, prevents toxins for building up in the colon.

Many health problems develop as a result of a toxic colon. The symptoms may be as varied as diarrhea, constipation, fatigue, headaches, dull eyes, poor skin, depression, joint pain, and vaginal spotting. So many times we seek to treat the symptoms with pain meds and eye wash and other prescription and over the counter preparations while the underlying problem remains unsolved. Later these problems become worse, and begin to affect major organs, contributing to major malfunctions.

A natural detox and cleanse will include a juice and vegetable fast, with an enema, abdominal massage, exercise and proper rest and sleep. However, this is not a onetime solution, but part of a regular routine, to keep the body healthy, and the immune system strong.

For a quick colon cleanse start with prunes, prune juice, tea, water, and an enema for immediate relief. Then do this one day detox at least once each month.

If you use drugs for a colon cleanse your body may become even more sluggish and dependent, for elimination. You want to be able to eliminate easily and often. A diet with 9-13 servings of fresh fruits, veggies, salads, 100% whole grains and water, will accomplish this very easily for you.

Raw fruits and vegetables are the best for cleaning and keeping the colon clean. Experts tell us that nearly 85 percent of nutrients in fruits and vegetables are lost through cooking. That enzymes necessary to cleanse the colon may also be lost through cooking. If you want to eat food that cleanses your colon, you are better choosing raw. Easy!, think salads. Just make sure that they are fresh, clean and organically grown. Be aware that pesticide and chemical residue on fruits and vegetables may be very harmful to your body. The high vitamin C content of fresh fruits help ward off diseases and make your skin look younger and more beautiful.

Cut down on the meats you eat. Having no more than 2 meals per week which includes meat, will lower your risk of cancer, heart disease, diabetes, arthritis and many other ailments, including chronic pain.

One of the more important factors of keeping the colon clean is that it allows for the absorption of nutrients from the foods we eat. Getting those vitamins, minerals and phytonutrients is paramount to health and life itself. Start today to design a lifestyle plan for yourself that will include a great food plan for you, an exercise regime that you can keep – regularly, and make the commitment to drink more water.
