Greenbriar Children’s Center is celebrating 70 years of lending helping hands and bringing hope to the hearts of countless Savannah families and children. To commemorate this impressive milestone, Greenbriar held its 70th Anniversary
Gala last Saturday, Nov. 2, 2019 at the Savannah Marriott Riverfront.
This black-tie gala featured live music and entertainment by New Arts Ensembles and Violinist, Jalin Graham, a catered dinner and refreshments, a silent auction, and presentations in tribute to Greenbriar’s proud history of nurturing children and strengthening families, valued donors and cherished volunteers. Honorary chairmen and speakers included First African Baptist Church Pastor
Reverend Thurmond N. Tillman and Mr. Scott Center, World Trade Center Savannah Board of Directors Chairman and owner of National Office Systems.
The Presentation of Champions of Children and Families Awardees included: Adaline Graham Philanthropic Award, Mr. Richard Eckburg; Gamma Sigma Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Service Award, Ms. Molly Lieberman; Rev. Ralph Mark Gilbert Community Organizer Award, Berean Missionary Baptist Association; Alumni Achievement Award, Mr. William Maynor; Strengthening Family Award, Savannah Harbor Foundation and Greenbriar Children’s Center Legacy Award, Gamma Sigma Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority.
