On Saturday, Sept. 22, at 2:30pm officials from NOAA’s Gray’s Reef National Marine Sanctuary and the City of Savannah will dedicate six bronze markers commemorating the sanctuary, its marine life and natural history, and its connection to the city and the state of Georgia. The public is invited to attend the dedication ceremony.
The markers are located along a 50-yard stretch of the city’s historic Rousakis Plaza on River Street. . Funding for the project was provided by the National Marine Sanctuary Foundation.
