Mrs. Eloria Gilbert, widow of Ralph Mark Gilbert and long time friend and supporter of W. W. Law is the invited speaker for the W. W. Law Foundation Circle of Friends, W. W. Law Legacy Breakfast on Saturday, August 8, 2009 at 8:30 a.m. at Ralph Mark Gilbert Civil Rights Museum Annex.
Mrs. Gilbert, a retired educator and civil rights activist, has a compelling behind the scenes story representative of the contribution of women in the civil rights movement.
The breakfast launches W. W. Law Foundation 2009- 2010 annual fundraising campaign themed “Continue Passing the Torch: Let’s Preserve the Life and Legacy of W. W. Law Together.”
W. W. Law Foundation Circle of Friends are dedicated to “Continue Passing the Torch” to ensure that the 100,000 pieces, representing more than 100 years of precious historical African American treasures, collected by W. W. Law becomes the gift to this community that he wanted it to be.
Tickets to hear and meet Mrs. Gilbert are $30 per person and $240 for a table of 8.
