GeoVista Credit Union Opens at Woodville-Tompkins Institute

The Future Leaders Branch of the GeoVista Credit Union opened at Woodville Tompkins Technical and Career Institute on Wednesday, September 23, 2009 at 10 a.m. SCCPSS superintendent Dr. Thomas Lockamy, GeoVista CEO Elaine Tuten, and SCCPSS school board members all participated in a ribbon cutting ceremony to mark the special occasion.

The Future Leaders Branch is a student-run credit union that will allow students, teachers, and other school board employees the opportunity to open checking and savings accounts.

The branch will also provide banking and finance students the opportunity to learn the lessons of financial education through hands-on experiences.
