The girls, members of Troop 30266 of the Marshview Service Unit, were among those in attendance at Ginger Wadsworth’s book signing on Thursday, February 2, 2012, at Congregation Mickve Israel.

Wadsworth, a former girl scout, was visiting Savannah to speak about her book First Girl Scout: The Life of Juliette Gordon Low. The book signing was the kickoff event for the Georgia History Festival put on by the Georgia Historical Society. It was sponsored by BG Group with additional support from the Georgia Humanities Council. Savannah is the birth place of Girl Scouts in the United States, and the organization is currently celebrating it’s hundred anniversary.
