Generation Summerfest 2013

Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church presents, Operation Reunited Coalition, Inc. in partnership with Motivated Achievers, Inc. These non-profit organizations will be hosting Generation Summerfest 2013 from July 29 through August 3. This sixday event will consist of a 4- day seminar of youth self and spiritual enrichment, a family picnic, a community youth march, and a gospel concert. Generation Summerfest 2013 is for youth and young adults between the ages of 8 – 22. The registration fee is $20.00 (non-refundable) payable by cash or money order. This fee includes the 4-day seminar (with lunch) and lunch for the youth at the family picnic. Open House/Registration for the seminar will be held on Saturday, July 13 and Saturday, July 20 from 12pm – 4pm at Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church, 1008 May Street, Savannah, GA.

The schedule for Generation Summerfest 2013 is as follows:

Monday, July 29 through Thursday, August 1 – Seminars (Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church (9:00 am – 2:15 pm) The seminars, taught by experts, will cover topics that youth can relate to: The New and Improved Me, Parenthood, Gang Violence, and Physical Fitness, Bullying, Manhood/Womanhood, Sexual Abuse, Resume Writing, Gun Violence, and a Mock Funeral. There will also be testimonies from victims of violence.

On Thursday, August 1, there will be representatives from Job Corp, branches of the military, area colleges and universities, Georgia Department of Labor, and various local businesses that are seeking employees. Generation Summerfest 2013 will culminate with a graduation ceremony. Space is limited and participants will be accepted on a first come first serve basis.

Friday, August 2 – Family Picnic at Daffin Park (3-7 pm) (Vendors may rent a booth for $50.00)

Saturday, August 3 – Gospel Concert (Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church) Tickets are $10.00
