The Coastal Empire Habitat for Humanity will partner with the Garden City Community Housing Team for a one-day revitalization project on Saturday, October 24. Habitat staff and community volunteers will join forces to repair, fix, and clean six (6) houses in the six (6) hours in the Rossignol Hill area of Garden City. “It is an exciting time to have Habitat for Humanity come into Garden City and help us help multiple families all in one day,” states Garden City Housing Team spokesperson Sharon Bethune.
Coastal Empire Habitat for Humanity’s Executive Director, Michael Weathers, shared Bethune’s excitement stating, “We are pleased to be in partnership and make a difference in Garden City. We hope that this effort will build a lasting relationship with the Garden City community.” Volunteers are needed from 8:30 AM to 3:00 PM on Saturday the 24th. Families are encouraged to participate as children 12 years and older are welcomed. Volunteer duties may include: washing home exteriors, repairing, construction, landscaping, clean-up, and general maintenance work.
