Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, Gamma Sigma Omega chapter will join millions of women on National Wear Red Day, Friday, February 3rd, by wearing red as “Pink Goes Red” to bring awareness to heart disease and stroke in women. Alpha Kappa Alpha known for wearing pink will adorn red to promote healthy heart as Gamma Sigma Omega host “Light the Night for Heart Health” on February 5th, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Holy Spirit Lutheran Church Social Hall, 622 E. 37th Street, Savannah, GA, 31401.
Go Red for Women reports “80% of cardiac and stroke events may be prevented with education and action.” Gamma Sigma Omega will raise awareness by offering educational resources and blood pressure checks to encourage women and their families to build healthier lives.
