David Roberson, a former Savannah State assistant football coach has been hired at Texas Christian University as their director of recruiting strategy.

Roberson spent the past two seasons at Utah State as their director of player personnel and before that he worked at Arkansas State in a similar role from 2014-20.

For two seasons (2012-13), Roberson worked at Savannah State where he guided the Tiger outside linebackers. He served as the SSU recruiting coordinator during the 20`3 season.

Prior to working at SSU, Roberson was at Penn State for the 2011-12 seasons while serving as a quality offensive control coach. A year before that, he was a defensive assistant at Southern Mississippi.

Roberson was the recruiting coordinator while working with special teams and linebackers at Notre Dame College in Ohio in 2009 and was the co-special teams coordinator at Stonehill in 2008. He spent two seasons at Norwich as their assistant director of football operations and linebacker coach in 2006-07.

Roberson was a fouryear letterman at Wilmington College, where he played linebacker and received his bachelor’s degree in sport management in 2003. Roberson is currently working on his master’s degree in educational leadership at Penn State.
