Step Up Savannah’s Chatham Apprentice Program (CAP) is recruiting now for the Forklift certification and employability training class, scheduled to start on June 8th and run through June 19th. The program is open to men and women interested in enhancing their basic employment skills and receiving forklift certification.
The training is free to adults (18 years and older) through a partnership among Chatham County, Step Up Savannah, Inc. and other organizations within the community. Those without a high school diploma or GED are encouraged to apply but the program is open to anyone who is unemployed or underemployed.
Successful graduates of the Chatham Apprentice Program receive assistance with their job search and oneon one coaching.
The application process is competitive and space is limited. If interested please attend an info session on May 15 or 22nd at 10am. Call 401-0672 for appointment.
