State Labor Commissioner Michael Thurmond recently announced that the Georgia Department of Labor and 100 Black Men of Atlanta will co-sponsor the Ninth Annual Atlanta Football Classic Job fair in conjunction with this year’s game between the Tennessee State Tigers and the Florida A&M Rattlers.
“This annual event is an excellent way to bring employers and job seekers together to fill available job openings,” said Commissioner Thurmond. “The leadership and hard work of the 100 Black Men make it possible.”
The job fair will be held Friday, Sept. 25, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Exhibit Hall B1 in Building B of the Georgia World Congress Center, located at 285 Andrew Young International Blvd., N. W. in Atlanta. The event is free and open to all job seekers.
Employers from a wide range of industries are expected to participate in the job fair, which is designed to experienced, and skilled workers. Applicants are encouraged to come to the job fair professionally dressed with multiple copies of their resumes.
