First Savannah Black Expo to be Held

Beginning Friday, April 9, 2010 the Black Expo Tour 2010 will converge on Savannah with State of the African American Awards Business Breakfast at Savannah State University, and the Black Expo Launch Mixer at the Ralph Mark Gilbert Civil Rights Museum.

On April 10, The Savannah Market will have an opportunity to hear some of the most prolific speakers of our time featured in “The Future of Black America Panel” at the First Annual Savannah Black Expo.

The panel will take place Saturday, April 10th in the Oglethorpe Auditorium, Savannah International Trade Center and Convention at 12:00 noon and will be moderated by Mr. Van Johnson, Savannah City Alderman.

Joining the panel in Part I of “The Future of Black America” is TV One Cable Network host and CNN Analyst Roland Martin, Mayor Otis Johnson, Mayor of City of Savannah, Georgia Dr. Millecent Brown, Professor at Claffin University, Dr. Earl G.Yarbrough, President of Savannah State University, Mrs. Cathy P. Part II of “The Future of Black America” begins at 3pm, with featured panelist Ms. Nia Long, Actress/ Executive Producer, Mr. Jay Alexander Martin, Executive Vice President/ Owner FUBU and Crown Holder, and Ms. Traci Adams, National Director of Promotions Island Def Jam Records, and moderated by Mr. Kenya “The Big Dawg” Cabine, E93FM Radio Personality and Honorable Ga Rep- J. Craig Gordon, Chairman of Savannah Black Expo.
