First Friendship to hold Harvest Day Celebration

First Friendship Missionary Baptist Church, 506 Hamilton Court, will celebrate Harvest Day on Friday, October 23, 2011 at 11:30 am. Dea. McArthur Holmes will serve as the speaker.

Holmes is a member of First Tabernacle Baptist Church. He retired from the Chatham County Sheriff’s Department where he served for over thirty-three years. Working his way through the ranks, he was the first African American to serve as Jail Administrator at the rank of Colonel. He is the husband of Carol Holmes, and the father of two daughters, Machelle and Monique, and the grandfather of three. All are welcome to worship with us.
