Quilting the AAMA 1983 Blacks in Museums Recognition Exhibition and “Kiah Museum Day of Remembrance”

The Hudson Hill Golden Age and other local quilters have come together to support the efforts of Savannah State University students from the Introduction to Anthropology class and the Center for the Study of African and African Diaspora Museums and Communities (CFSAADMC) member’s research of the African American Museums Association (AAMA) 1983 Blacks in Museums Directory. The final site selection have been made and listed below for a day of traveling on the “Quilt Exhibition Trail” throughout the City of Savannah.

Starting location is The Beach Institute located on Harris St

Ms. Patricia Howard and Mr. John Finney at the EOA are asking for yearbooks and photos from Mrs. Kiah art classes at the Cuyler School get in touch with them as they are preparing for a special gathering at their exhibition site.
