Dr. Estella Edwards Shabazz, Founder and Chief Bishop of the First New Afrikan Methodist (A.M.) Christian Church, and the church family invite you to join them in celebration of the 5th Pastoral Anniversary for the Reverend Yusuf K. Shabazz, who is the pastor at First New Afrikan Methodist Christian Church. This celebration will be held on Sunday, June 14, 2015 at 4:00 p.m. at Litway Missionary Baptist Church located at 2335 Shell Road where the Rev. Dr. Leonard Small is Pastor. At this special celebration, we will be honoring Apostle Idell Cheever, Founder and Overseer of Pentecostal Miracle Deliverance Centers Inc., Apostle Juanita Edwards, Pastor of Newborn Church of Faith in Christ, and Bishop Willie Farrell, Pastor of The Royal Church of Christ.

Pastor Yusuf K. Shabazz is a native of Savannah, Georgia. After his extensive study, education and training in the New Afrikan Methodist Christian Church Denomination’s Institute of Ministerial Educational Training Board of Examiners, he received his ordination as Itinerant Elder and Pastor’s appointment on June 20, 2010, as the senior pastor of First New A.M. Christian Church.

On July 31, 2012, the people of Chatham County elected Commissioner Shabazz to serve as their 5th district representative, position he continues to continues to serve the citizens in that capacity. Pastor Yusuf K. Shabazz is the co-owner of the Famous Shabazz Seafood Restaurant located on the corner of MLK and West Victory Drive, Savannah, Georgia. Throughout his whole jour Pastor Yusuf K. Shabazz is the son of Mr. Jimmy and Mrs. Laura Jackson. He is the grandson of the late Mrs. Catherine Delmar and the former Pastor of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, Pastor George Washington Carter. Pastor Yusuf Shabazz is married to Chief Bishop Dr. Estella Edwards Shabazz, Alderwoman, 5th District Savannah City Council and is the father of four children: Malika, Madeena, Yusuf, Jr. and Yasmin.
